Solidarity visit to the migrant camps in the Gulf.

The violation of human rights inside the labour camps in the Gulf is an issue of concern for the EAHRD. As we continue to work together with the social activists in the field of migration a visit was arranged to the men’s and women’s labour camps in the UAE in November 2011 in order to follow up the developments and the needs of the migrant workers.
Lack of health care, of proper living space, of pastoral support and of Hygiene is a main challenge in the migrants’ society. Many cases of suicide are registered every year as the migrant workers put an end to their lives and distress.
Cases of rape and sexual abuse are still realities. The establishment of a bigger number of safe houses is a need. The EAHRD discussed the different   Cont.

She was born in the Palestinian refugee camp in Amman, Jordan where she lives until today. Married to Adam since 20 years she lives like a single mother. More
